3 Canadian spots are among the world’s most beautiful landscapes

March 18, 2023 by Staff Reporter

Time and time again, Canada gets praised for its natural beauty and stunning landscapes that stretch from east to west. A recent list placed three Canadian parks among the 51 Most Beautiful Landscapes in the World. And here’s where they’re located.

U.S. News & World Report issued its latest report on the world’s most jaw-dropping, picture-esqe landscapes from countries like Brazil, Morocco, Vietnam, St Lucia, and the like.

“Whether you’re ready to hike or Instagram the moment, odds are you’ll enjoy experiencing the scenery at a new destination, especially if it’s different from back home. While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, these top places are bound to take your breath away with their awe-inspiring settings,” shares the report.

Well, when it comes to Canada, our beloved country is known for making it in some notable rankings – for having the most welcoming cities and towns, being one of the best places for outdoor lovers, and many, many more.

Now, without further delay, here are the three Canadian landscapes mentioned:

  • Sunwapta Valley in Jasper National Park – Alberta
  • Lake Louise in Banff National Park – Alberta
  • Terra Nova National Park – Newfoundland and Labrador

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing these parks in all their beauty, then you most likely understand why they’re highly regarded.

Jasper National Park’s Sunwapta Valley is home to the Columbia Icefield Skywalk – a glass that overlooks stunning glacier vistas from 918 feet above the valley, according to the report.

And Lake Louise is an awe all in itself. Its turquoise glacial lake is surrounded by lush foliage and snowy summits. With hiking trails and hidden waterfalls, it’s a must-see.

As for Terra Nova National Park, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the boreal forests up on one of their high cliffs. Peaceful.

It looks like we have some travel plans to make this summer.
