University of Illinois Extension, in conjunction with Edgar County Master Gardeners, is hosting The annual April in Paris Gardening Seminar 8 a.m. April 13, at Betty Jane’s Kitchen.
This half-day event features Steve Schuren, Schuren Nursery, presenting the newest proven winners varieties. Cooking with Herbs is the topic of speaker Mary Liz Wright, Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator. Chris Enroth, Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator, discusses incorporating native plants into existing landscape.
Doors open at 8 a.m. for registration, and the program begins at 8:30 a.m. (CST.) The $25 includes a light breakfast and materials. In addition to the speakers, garden related items are available through participating vendors.
Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists who attend are eligible for three hours of continuing education credits.
