Australian Ambassador to Qatar H E Shane Flanagan and Azza Basha with the officials of Engineers Australia Pavilion at the Big 5 Index Exhibition.
Doha, Qatar: Australian Ambassador to Qatar, H E Shane Flanagan, and Azza Basha, visted the Engineers Australia Pavilion at the prestigious Big5 Index Exhibition in Doha, Qatar on October 23, 2023.
The Ambassador was warmly welcomed by Engineers Australia Qatar Chapter President, Asif Rahmany, who provided valuable insights into the activities of Engineers Australia in Qatar and its membership and chartership programs. During the visit, Rahmany also highlighted the recognition agreement between Engineers Australia and Qatar’s MMUP, which allows Chartered members of Engineers Australia to be exempt from the MMUP/UPDA certification examination.
Ambassador Shane Flanagan expressed a keen interest in understanding the significant contributions and endeavors of Engineers Australia in Qatar and around the world.
He praised the organisation’s commitment to promoting excellence in the engineering profession and
fostering international cooperation.
The Ambassador was delighted to meet other members of Engineers Australia during his visit, including Arlan Beltran, Parveen Kumar, Ravinder Singh Sasoon, Elton Fernandes and Rony Medenilla. They extended their heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Flanagan for his visit, and discussions were held about the growing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange between Australian engineers and their counterparts in Qatar.
