A Boise company described as a “luxury landscaping business” has been acquired by two financial companies.
Gem State Holdings and Capital Eleven partnered to acquire Art of the Earth, a family-owned landscaping company started in 2010 by Kody Neighbors.
Art of the Earth specializes in custom landscaping with renovations, paver patios and water features. According to a release, the two financial companies acquired the company to “elevate the company’s impact on the Treasure Valley” and to “bolster the Boise business community and enhance the landscaping industry.”
Gem State Holdings is a holding company that looks to foster the growth and success of small- to medium-sized businesses in different industries. Capital Eleven is a venture and private equity firm in Meridian, dedicated to fostering the growth of local businesses and entrepreneurs.
“As a family-owned business, our intention has consistently been to serve our community well and provide our employees opportunities for growth,” Neighbors said. “Partnering with Gem State Holdings and Capital Eleven has acted as a catalyst for this to transpire on a larger and sustainable scale.”
Neighbors added that both companies possess strategic skill sets “that provide a foundation for longevity and balance. We couldn’t be more thankful that God led us to these specific partners.”
For Capital Eleven, the company believes it is an opportunity to pool resources and expertise which will solidify its dedication to the local business landscape.
“We believe this partnership will not only enhance the services offered by Art of the Earth but also contribute positively to the overall landscape of the Treasure Valley,” said Brian Jorgenson, chief investment officer for Capital Eleven.
Gem State Holdings expressed similar enthusiasm to the partnership.
“We truly appreciate the vital role that thriving businesses play in fostering innovation and driving economic prosperity,” said Aaron Davis, co-founder and chief executive officer at Gem State Holdings. “That’s why we’re especially excited about our partnership with Capital Eleven to bring Art of the Earth into our fold. This isn’t just a strategic expansion, it’s a celebration of the artistry and excellence that Art of the Earth represents in luxury landscaping.”
