Denver Botanic Gardens 2023 summer concert series schedule

DENVER — The music is returning to Denver Botanic Gardens this summer.

The garden’s annual Summer Concert Series has 10 concerts scheduled this summer beginning Tuesday, June 12.

Among the artists taking the stage this summer are Fitz & The Tantrums, Esperanza Spalding, Neko Case, Marc Cohn, Andy Grammer and Santigold.

The concerts will take place at the UMB Bank Amphitheater at Denver Botanic Gardens on York Street, in one of the nation’s top botanic gardens.

Denver Botanic Gardens said its summer concerts “offer an unrivaled ambiance of thousands of blooming plants and the crystal clear music of some of the world’s most sought­-after artists.”

The decades-long summer concert tradition returned in 2022 after a two-year hiatus. All shows start about 6:30 p.m., and gates open at approximately 5:45 p.m.

  • Tuesday, June 20 — Neko Case & Nora O’Connor
  • Wednesday, June 21 — Marc Cohn & Shawn Colvin
  • Monday, June 26 — Rising Appalachia
  • Thursday, July 6 — Santigold
  • Tuesday, July 11 — Esperanza Spalding
  • Monday, July 17 — Fitz & The Tantrums
  • Monday, July 24 — Preservation Hall Jazz Band
  • Tuesday, August 1 — Andy Grammer
  • Wednesday, August 2 — Steep Canyon Rangers & Amythyst Kiah
  • Wednesday, August 9  — Ozomatli

Tickets for the Summer Concert Series go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 21, at 10 a.m. at concerts.botanicgardens.org.

Denver Botanic Gardens and Swallow Hill Music members get early ticket access between March 15 and March 20, based on membership level.

Evenings al Fresco will be held this summer on select Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with local musicians and small ensembles performing throughout the Garden’s York Street location. The artist lineup will be announced in May.
