First National Bank (FNB) recently announced a $10,000 contribution in support of three programs, including Boothbay Region Elementary School’s School Garden, Gardens For All, and Gardens Aglow.
During the spring season, FNB helped support the extension of Boothbay Region Elementary’s School Garden, a pilot program created by Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ Youth and Family Program Manager Erika Huber, to support environmental education for local students. The new garden now has a water line installed close by and consists of 12 raised beds.
During the Gardens’ regular season, through the Gardens For All program, those eligible for SNAP/EBT, WIC, Medicaid, MaineCare programs, or who are otherwise unable to meet the price of admission may visit the Gardens at no cost.
Now through Dec. 31, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens will host Gardens Aglow. Join the experience of New England’s most beautiful light display, returning this year as a walking event with a new, reimaged design with more than 750,000 LED lights throughout 14 acres of central gardens.
