Ladew Topiary Gardens hosting over 35 vendors for annual fundraiser

The Garden Festival, Ladew Gardens’ biggest fundraiser of the year, is back to offer inspiration.”(It’s) just a remarkable celebration of everything that is fabulous about the activity and love of gardening,” said Emily Emerick, the executive director of Ladew Topiary Gardens.The event is so popular, it has drawn more than 35 vendors from across the country.”(The vendors will offer) a variety of perennials, annual shrubs, small trees (and) garden ornaments. Just fabulous stuff,” Emerick said. The festival is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Ladew. Tickets are still available for Saturday. Admission includes access to the 22-acre property featuring 15 gardens and a nature trail.”We have about a $2.7 million annual operating budget. It is extraordinarily expensive to take care of this fabulous gem of a garden,” Emerick said.The weather is looking like a dry weekend, finally, to enjoy the topiary treasure.
