While The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member is still dealing with some finishing touches on her home as of September 2023, she did tell Robyn Dixon in 2019, “This might be like my forever home, so I wanna just take my time with it, do it in stages.”
One stage that seems to be done? Gizelle’s backyard and patio area — the likes of which we got a glimpse of on the premiere episode of RHOP.

We last got a glimpse of Gizelle’s backyard during Season 7 of RHOP. During the episode, we saw how she outfitted the space with a cream and taupe-colored seating area over a stone patio. Overhead hung a black ironwork lighting fixture as the patio extended outward under a white wood pergola.
During the Season 8 premiere episode, which aired on November 5, Gizelle had some of her castmates over for a little backyard get-together, showing off more details of her patio space and a few design updates as well.
First, we took notice of the chic black trim which beautifully contrasted with the white brick of Gizelle’s home. Next, we spotted a light blue-colored island where Gizelle placed her charcuterie board and drinks — a pretty and functional piece added to the space.
Additionally, we were, let’s say, tickled pink with Gizelle’s design update to her sectional and its various pieces. The Maryland mom outfitted the furniture with several pink pillows that featured different shades and textures. An acrylic side table with a bouquet was perched next to the love seat while a rectangular fire pit sat in the center of the space. We weren’t entirely sure, but we do believe we spotted pink-colored stones in there as well!
In the background, we also saw a stunning large white grill while lush greenery was featured throughout.
While Gizelle seemed to have updated her back patio area, she may need to make a few changes to the walkway to that area, as Ashley Darby and Robyn showed their trouble coming down the ostensibly steep slope.
“Hotel Gizelle is always under construction,” Ashley quipped in an interview. “Something’s always broken, something always needs some paving, some trimming, some demolishing… when is my girl gonna have a completion date? OK, because [if] I break an ankle or break a toe, like, she is done. We’re gonna be in trouble!”
Moreover, Robyn was also worried about “busting [her] ass” while cautiously walking down to the back patio area, as she hilariously joked in an interview.
