Home Vegetable Gardening Series Hosted By Purdue Extension Happening In April – InkFreeNews.com

March 9, 2023 by Staff Reporter

Press Release

WARSAW — Purdue Extension of Kosciusko County will host a three-week series on home vegetable gardening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 13, 20, and 27, at the Extension Office, 202 W. Main St., Warsaw.

The Home Vegetable Gardening Series offers current and aspiring vegetable growers the opportunity to learn from the experts about ways to increase the success and satisfaction of quality vegetable production in their gardens.

This series will offer participants a knowledge of tools and techniques that will improve their productivity of quality vegetables. Participants will also increase their knowledge of methods which will improve their ability to control pests and diseases while reducing the impact of their operation on the environment.

In each session, participants will have the opportunity to learn about modern vegetable productions practices appropriate to home growing, learn from experts on how to select varieties and kinds of vegetables to meet their needs, learn about how to manage pests in a sustainable manner, learn about resources that are available to help continue their study and to solve problems after the series is complete.

To register, sign up online. Registration will end on March 30 and space is limited. For additional information about this workshop, contact Emily Kresca, extension educator, via e-mail or at (574) 372-2340.
