Canadian environmentalist and author Lorraine Johnson is the keynote speaker for the Town of Kingsville’s Get in Touch with Nature event May 27 at the Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre.

Johnson will speak on gardening for beauty and biodiversity at the event, which is hosted by the town’s Communities in Bloom committee.
A variety of vendors and speakers will be featured.
“We have a full agenda planned with engaging speakers and interesting topics,” said Coun. Thomas Neufeld. “Anyone who loves to garden or wants to enhance their environmental stewardship will find value in this event.”
Topics include information about becoming a bee city, how to attract purple martins, how to attract monarch butterflies, mushrooms and a presentation on the 2023 Essex region watershed report card.
The Arts Society of Kingsville will be onsite hosting nature-themed crafts for kids.
