The truck was fully engulfed in flames, firefighters say.

WATER MILL, NY — A landscaping company’s truck burst into flames in Water Mill early Thursday, officials said.
The fire broke out just after 7 a.m. on the edge of Woods Road, according to Chris Brenner, public information officer at the Southampton Fire Department.

The first unit at the scene reported that the truck was fully engulfed, he said.

“Crews worked quickly and efficiently to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes,” Brenner said.
The Southampton Town fire marshal’s office was called to investigate the cause of the fire. Southampton Fire Department 1st Assistant Chief Polis Walker was in charge of the scene.
No injuries were reported, Brenner said.
