Man shot, killed in Corryville was doing landscaping work when he was attacked

A man has died after a shooting in Corryville on Tuesday, Cincinnati police confirmed on Tuesday night.It happened shortly after 3 p.m. when Cincinnati police officers responded to a report of a shot fired in the 2900 block of Bellevue Avenue.According to Lt. John Cunningham, officers on the scene found a victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to UC Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.Cincinnati Police said the victim is a 43-year-old male.According to a company representative with Uptown Properties, a property management company in Cincinnati, the man killed was an employee doing landscaping work when he was attacked.The company representative said the employee was doing some mulching when a man walked up unprovoked and demanded money.When the employee said he didn’t have any money with him, he was shot in the head.Police said they do not have a suspect at this time. The employer of the victim said this was a random attack. They are offering a $10,000 reward to find the suspect.Cincinnati police have not released a motive for the shooting at this time. Police are asking people in the area if they have doorbell footage of the incident to call police at 513-352-3040.The investigation by the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is ongoing. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
