FT. LAUDERDALE, FL – Patio Bar & Pizza is a new indoor and outdoor concept now open in the up-and-coming MASS District in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village at 901 Progresso Drive. The concept is New York vibes meets craft cocktails and hand-crafted artisan style pizza.
It is the third concept from Brian Parenteau and Doug Herbst, two South Florida hospitality veterans, who also founded DrYnk Bar & Lounge in Wilton Manors and Tulio’s Tacos & Tequila Bar.
The new venue is at the old Progresso Plaza, a 100-year-old landmark, also known to locals as the “Laser Wolf Building.” The outdoor patio is 2,500 square foot and features another bar, fire pit and lounge like seating.
All pizzas are made-to-order and hand-crafted on site from non-bromated, unbleached natural flour, whole and skim milk mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin and organic tomato sauce from California tomatoes and then baked in an authentic brick oven. Vegan and gluten-free options are available as well.
Menu options include 14-inch pies such as a Signature Cheese and Margarita, Artichoke, Soppressata & Peppers, and Spicy Hawaiian. Salad options include Kale Caesar and Heirloom Tomato and Mozzarella. Dessert includes fresh mini cannoli’s as well as Tiramisu.
Cocktails are themed and include “Filthy Flamingo,” “Death by Coconut” and “South of the Border.” The drinks are made with fresh squeezed juices and local fresh produce from Jack Scalisi Fruit and Produce. Craft beer options include Funky Buddha, Hop Gun, Cigar City Jai Alai, Wynwood Brewing La Rubia and Holy Passakos Blonde Ale. Red and white wine is also available.
