Qatar’s pavilion, the ‘Desert Nest’, at the international horticulture exhibition – Floriade Expo 2022, the Netherlands, has won the silver medal at the 4th edition of the International Festival of Brand Experience (BrandEx 2023) Award in Dortmund, Germany. The pavilion, put up by the Ministry of Municipality under the title ‘Desert Nest’, qualified in the category of ‘Best Architectural Execution’, and won the silver medal based on the votes of an international judges’ committee. The pavilion had previously earned accolades such as excellence in hospitality and a Guinness World Records certificate as the tallest freestanding 3D-printed tower. It was organised as part of the expo from April 14 to October 9, 2022, and introduced the public to the customs and heritage of Qatar. It witnessed many cultural and heritage activities and events.
