Succulent Gardening Class Set for Next Week

March 13, 2023 by Staff Reporter

A program is scheduled later this week that will give area residents an opportunity to create their own indoor mini-garden.

The program will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at 7pm at the Gabrielson Shelter House south of Sioux Rapids, and will be led by BV County Naturalist Katie Struss.

Participants will learn how to up-cycle or recycle an old vase, pot, or terrarium into a living succulent garden. Participants will receive the specialty potting soil needed for succulents, decorations, and three plants.

The cost for the class is ten-dollars. Participants are asked to bring their own container. The last day to register is Tuesday, March 21st. To sign up, call the Buena Vista County Conservation Office at 712-295-7985.
