Two Paxton’s Grill patrons suffered minor injuries after crash into patio

May 7, 2023 by Staff Reporter

Paxton’s Grill in Loveland will reopen at 4 p.m. today after shutting down when a vehicle crashed into its patio Friday night.

The Loveland Police Department said a few patrons suffered minor injuries in the wreck about 9 p.m. and that the driver fled the scene of the restaurant at 126 W. Loveland Ave., near the Loveland bike trail.

Police continue to investigate but have identified the vehicle involved, the department said.

The Loveland Symmes Fire Department said two people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

It said the crash tore off Paxton’s Grill’s patio roof and extensively damaged the patio.

Paxton’s Grill counting blessings

“Our entire team is so grateful that there were no serious injuries from the unfortunate accident Friday night involving our patio,” Paxton’s Grill operators said on Facebook.

“We will keep the community posted on our plans. In the meantime, continue to be #LovelandStrong, and thank you for all your support and prayers. And our complete gratitude to all the first responders (especially Loveland Symmes Fire Department and the Loveland Ohio Police Department).”
