The UConn men’s basketball program announced Tuesday that its annual Blue-White Night will be held inside Gampel Pavilion on Oct. 25. The open practice event is free and open to the general public, though tickets must be claimed beforehand.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the practice beginning at 7.
It will be the second chance for fans to see the defending national champions prior to their Nov. 6 season-opener against Northern Arizona, as tickets for Friday’s First Night festivities were sold out in less than 15 hours. First Night includes both a 3-point contest and a dunk contest with drafted teams consisting of both UConn men’s and women’s basketball players.
UConn announced last week that season tickets are selling at a record pace and that less than 500 season tickets were available for men’s games at Gampel Pavilion.
The Huskies finished the 2022-23 regular season with a 24-7 record, 11-0 in non-conference competition. After losing in the second round of the Big East Tournament in a thriller against eventual dual-conference champion Marquette, the Huskies became the first team since Indiana in 1981 to win every NCAA Tournament game by at least 13 points and earned the program’s fifth national title.
The 2023 national championship banner will be unveiled in a pregame ceremony prior to the Nov. 6 season-opener at Gampel Pavilion.
